Story House is part of Egmont, a leading Nordic media group with a dual purpose. As an enterprise foundation, Egmont has spent part of its profits helping others for more than 100 years.

Today, Egmont uses around DKK 100 million a year on supporting children and youth at risk. Egmont supports projects, initiatives and individuals in Denmark, Sweden and Norway — all with the aim of enabling all young people to complete an education and pursue a good life.
Over the past 100 years, Egmont has donated a total of 3.9 billion DKK to support children and young people at risk in Denmark, Sweden and Norway. Today, this equates to approximately 16,600 DKK contributed by each employee annually.
Giving back to society has always been a part of Egmont’s DNA. The founder of Egmont, Egmont Harald Petersen, grew up in poverty with a single mother and was in foster care for a part of his childhood. Early on, he used a part of the company's profits to help children and families in poverty. His final wish was for a part of Egmont's profits to continue to go towards philanthropic purposes, and so it happened that Egmont became an enterprise foundation in 1920. Since then, Egmont has supported thousands of children and families at risk.
